GONE SHOPPING

Shoplifting is an art and I think you either have it or you don't. I was never good at it although many moons ago I did nick an £800 coffee table from a nightclub on a saturday night from under a bouncers nose. I felt like James Bond on Stella...
Gone Shopping is a book about the Queen of thieves, Shirley Pitts.  Born in East London just after the war Pitts spent 50 years of her life rinsing the life out of shops, after all who would expect a glamorous well spoken lady dressed head to toe in designer clobber. Apart from London's West End she plied her trade across Europe in search of five finger discounts and regularly visited  Paris, Berlin and Geneva for designer coats and handbags.
The book is available from Amazon.
